CEOs represent their institutions in semi-annual meetings and idea exchanges in member cities. These interactive meetings take place each spring and fall and focus on successful practices to meet evolving community needs and dynamic changes in the higher education landscape. The executive director provides administrative support to members and is responsible for event planning, membership recruitment, sponsorship generation, and communications. 

An Executive Committee of the President, Vice President-Elect, Immediate Past President, Treasurer, Membership Chair, and Executive Director responds to and advises the total membership. All financial matters are overseen by the Executive Committee and reported to the membership by the Treasurer. 

GCCLN has incorporation and 501(c)(3) U.S. tax-exempt status.
